HE WAS brilliant and deeply disturbed. In the dying days of flower power, in 1969, a number of experts now believe Penn State Phd. Rick Haefner went into a university library and stabbed to death Betsy Aardsma, 19, a freshman from Holland, Michigan. For four decades the case has remained cold but two authors are fingering Haefner--now dead--as the killer. And his nephew is backing them up. Above is a clip on the case from 2008.
