KILLER MOM LYNNE BROWN ON RUN SINCE 1975

THE MURDERS were bone-chilling. Two little children, each shot twice in the head. Their killer? Mom. On Feb. 22, 1975 cops in Clackamas County, Oregon believe Geoffrey Lyman Brown and Leslie Michelle Brown were shot to do death by their mother Lynne Brown (a.k.a. Lynne Fortner, Mitzi Brown, Mitzi Fortner.) Geoffrey, 5, and Leslie, 7, were found dead March 12, 1975. They were lying on a blanket.
Geoffrey and Leslie were last seen leaving with their mother, Lynne Brown, for a one-day visit from Lynne’s ex-husband’s house on Feb. 22, 1975. Lynne Brown has not been seen or heard from since.

Lynne Brown is described as a white female, 5'2", 110 lbs., with brown hair and green eyes. A forensic artist has prepared an aged drawing as Ms. Brown might appear now. A warrant was issued in October 2006 as a result of this Cold Case investigation.
Lynne Brown had a history of mental problems and once threatened to kill her mother with a butcher knife, police said. On another occasion, she told a friend that if her ex-husband, Lyman Brown, won custody of their children, she might someday "shoot the kids and Lyman would never find her."

  1. They were our landlords and Leslie was my friend. Her mother was mean and Leslie was a sweet, gentle soul. Those little angels didn't deserve that! I pray to God she is found and brought to justice!

  3. We lived next door to Leslie and Geoffrey, I remember their mom dropping her cigarette ashes in my eye at a birthday party. They were me and my sisters best friends, this was so sad. I will always remember them.
