NATALEE HOLLOWAY could be declared dead within days after a judge ruled that her father had met the legal presumption that she had passed away.
As we reported here six years after the gorgeous teen went missing during a graduation trip to Aruba, Dave Holloway has taken the sad step of trying to have her ruled dead and bring legal closure to the case.
Recounting the extensive searches on land and air of the holiday isle he said there was no sign of his daughter being found.
His attorney, Karen Hennecy, asked, ""Dave, do you believe Natalee is alive today?"
"No," he answered quietly.
He added that he partly based his decision on the fact that the man, long suspected of killing her, Joran Van Der Sloot, has claimed in the past that he watched her die.

MISSING Natalee Holloway's father is asking a court to declare his daughter dead, six years after she went missing during a graduation vacation to Aruba.
Dave Holloway said in a sworn statement that it was his "painful" belief that his daughter is dead adding that in the years he's spent searching for his daughter no evidence suggested that she was either alive or had run away from home.
His daughter was  last seen in a car with Joran Van Der Sloot on the last day of her graduation trip to the beautiful holiday isle.
Her body has never been found despite extensive searches on both the island and it's surrounding waters.
The Dutchman who is currently being held in Peru for the murder of Stephany Flores, appeared to admit to the murder in a documentary.

THE DISTRAUGHT mom of missing Natalee Holloway urged parents to make sure their kids are safe, to avoid the heartache she had been through.
Beth Holloway who founded the International Safe Travels Organization after her daughter's presumed death, recalled the last phone call before Natalee packed for 2005 spring break in Aruba.
"I just told her I loved her," she said.
However she refused to comment on her daughter's supposed killer Joran Van Der Sloot, who's trial for the murder of young Peruvian Stephany Flores, 21, may again be delayed.
